BRIDGE Program
Committed to educating students for practice in an increasingly global world, and to serving the growing needs of immigrants and refugees, SSW offers the innovative BRIDGE Program. Designed to address the absence of in-community, ethnic social workers, the BRIDGE program trains and supports participants, who are either refugees or immigrants themselves, for success in a social work academic program. Starting in the 1990s as the Refugees and Immigrants Training Program (RITIP), the BRIDGE program trains students to work with many under-served refugee and immigrant communities across the U.S. For more information, contact Professor Lee Staples (lstaples@bu.edu, 617-353-7917).
